What a mess!

This week has been pretty horrible. If it wasn't one thing, it was another. Everything that could go wrong did and every little worry I had multiplied and honestly I'm surprised I didn't have a nervous breakdown.

Firstly, I had a job interview that sucked. The interviewer was horrible and asked me some really rude/inappropriate questions. Gotta say I won't be sad if I don't hear back from them.

Secondly, I had some awful correspondence with my advisor here at school. I honestly don't even know if I am coming or going anymore. I just want to quit and leave the program. I am doing as much as I can and it isn't good enough and frankly her attitude towards me seems really hostile and makes me feel so uncomfortable that I just never want to go in and see her.

Thirdly, a guy I thought I had a crush on decided to send me a text message talking about going on a date with someone. Like really? Do I really need to know? I've never been rejected in that way before...is that meant to be a nice let-down? I don't even know. It was very hurtful and made me feel kinda bad. Like why did he feel the need to send me a text talking about going on a date. Only good thing it did was make me delete him from my phone and from my mind, haha. I'm not one who is too prone to embarrassment or hurt feelings anymore and I do not need to put myself in that position again. Thing is with this guy I was more just trying to be friendly towards him and get to know him better because he had some similar interests. I mean, yeah I thought he was very cute! :)
LOL. And I thought he was sexy...okay, so maybe I wasn't just trying to be just friendly. But still rejection is a bitter pill to swallow. But next...

I've been receiving a lot of emails from my ex-friend who really hurt me. I guess he wants to be friends again and realized that I was a pretty cool friend to have. Honestly, I didn't know how to respond. He really hurt me and while I did miss his friendship, I really didn't miss the way he made me feel and that was crappy. Like I wasn't good enough in any regards. And while, he seems to realize now that I was a pretty awesome friend, it's too late. In my mind, I am pretty indifferent to being friends with him again. He really numbed me in some ways. And I have told him sorry, I forgive you but not really wanting to be friends again and he isn't getting it. I think he thinks that I will cave in because in the past I have always been soo forgiving but I am soo over it.

Also, I have another friend who totally lied to me about watching a video I made for a class. The video was long so I can understand if she didn't watch it...kinda. But not really. When I think of all the bullshit that this person sends me to look at or read, it makes me really mad. Like you don't even support me your friend. I put a lot of work into the video and well the fact that she just straight up lied, well, it seriously turned me off.

Can you tell I am in a moany/whiny mood? Maybe it's PMS. I have also been crying a lot in the last few days. Stressed out of mind. I was hoping that I would get hit by a car or something (you know how dramatic life can be sometimes) and started looking up life insurance policies so if that did happen, my mum could get a lot of money. Morbid, huh. I was like, well I know she would be sad I died but a million dollars may help to numb the pain. And then I read a bunch of websites on term life insurance and that sobered me up out of my emotional state.

Life can be soo funny sometimes.

And then of course I have another crush; which I won't even bother to talk about because it is so inappropriate (doesn't that make you want to hear about it more)! :) It's not a huge huge crush but the guy is super cute and sweet and nice and funny and well, when you are surrounded by a bunch of wankas, that really stands out! :)

But alas alack, nothing will every come of that crush.

So this is the point where I look boy crazy or something, or in love with love or scared of relationships or emotionally scarred or unavailable or just plain crazy. I don't even know if I am any of these or all of these any more.

I do still believe in love-true love. And I still believe in soul-mates and I still believe that there is one perfect person out there for each person but the more guys I meet the more I doubt if there is a perfect match for me.

And at this point, with all my other stresses I'm not even too bothered or consumed by it (well, not really). Let's hope the next few weeks go better! :)

New Stop-motion video (No more love)

I love Stopmotion videos. Ever since I lived in Los Angeles for a year and had lots of time on my hands I have been obsessed with watching them and trying to make them. My efforts have all proved to be fun but not very good.

That doesn't stop me from making them though! :)

Today was a bit of a lazy Sunday; yes I had work to do, but sometimes you just want to relax and release your creative juices. Textbooks will always be there!! Below is my latest stop-motion video!

You may be amazed that there is no love story in this particular video or post. Don't be! That will be coming soon. :)

All I seem to talk about...

I only seem to update this blog when some sort of love drama happens. Well, love is too strong of a word really; crushes is more the word. When some sort of weird crush or relationship happens. You will be pleased to hear or not, that there is no love in my life right now.

Sigh! :)

Actually, this is a good thing. I've realized that boys can be a bother and I don't need the bother right now! Though of course a cute guy could change my mind!

I go back to school in a week. I'm kinda looking forward to it but not really. I think I'm ready to be done with school. I have been at it for so long that I am burnt out right now. It is also hard for me to be interested in certain subjects I care nothing about. The one thing I like about my program is that it is really interesting and provided a lot of insight into the education system for me.

It's a pity that it didn't turn out to be all I hoped it would be. I graduate in December. Yay me. Don't ask what I will do after that or where I will be though. Argh. It makes my head hurt just thinking about it. I'm thinking I would like to stay in NYC for a bit; in either Manhattan or Brooklyn, but we shall see. I kind of miss living in a house with a garden and more space.

And I want a dog. Yes, I want a big goofy dog, who I cuddle in bed and take on long walks and who lights up whenever he sees me. I love dogs and that is my treat to myself when I graduate...I hope!

I have started reading the bible every morning. I am doing it because I realized that I need to strengthen my faith and there is a lot I do not know. I try to be the best person I can be but sometimes I feel like I fail a little bit. Like if I laugh at something mean someone says about someone else, or if I gossip- I feel bad. Really guilty. And I don't want to be like that. And I'm not a really big gossip but I really want to be as perfect as I can. That sounds crazy huh?

I just feel like it is important to be as nice and true and caring and compassionate and open as you can. Don't get me wrong. I'm no Mother Theresa but I want to be the best I can.

Also, I do have a crush. A small one.... :)

I'll tell you more later!

It's never too late

The ex-friend that I loved and lost and vowed to never be friends with again has contacted me and is trying to get back into my life. OF COURSE! Isn't that how life goes? Just when you are ready to move on 100% and leave that person behind for ever, they all of a sudden crop back in your life again and spin you for a loop.

Okay, I lied a little bit. I hadn't moved on 100%, I still missed him and our malicious and hilarious conversations that would have me laughing for hours on end. But then I would always remember how he ripped my heart into pieces and spat them out into the ocean. Without a care in the world or in his heart.

So yeah, when he reached out to me, I didn't know how to react. I still don't. I'm scared to be friends again. I feel like I could end up in this whirlwind of crap again and end up hurt and in pain and kicking myself. And who wants that? Not me.

I need to focus on building new relationships with people who care about me and really value me. He doesn't. That I can attest to. No-one who cared about my feelings would have ever treated me the way he did. It's funny now, after writing this, that I think I have my answer.

I suck at this love thing

So I was talking about my non-existent love-life the other day. And after talking to someone last night I realized that my problem stems from my very real idealism. While I think that it's quite noble and great to believe in such things as one true love, fate, soul-mates, etc., I do believe that I am in the minority of people. I also think that my notion of love and romance is something that has been heavily influenced by romance novels and films (of which I've read and seen quite a few).

I don't actually have a problem with my way of thinking. But I think that perhaps I should. I have had a disastrous last 6 months. If I'm completely honest it's been a disastrous year, but hindsight is always a biatch. I thought I was in love (or maybe strong like) with someone. I know it sounds weird now, but I don't know what I would classify the emotion as asides from madness because I actually don't feel that way anymore. At the time, I was thinking in terms of 'perfect match' and 'soul mates' but now I have no idea wtf I was thinking. The guy was not a perfect match for me in any way but I think once you have been good friends with someone for so long, sometimes you blur the lines of what you see and feel. At least that is what I am telling myself.

The guy was someone who I have spoken about in the blog before. Never with any romantic thoughts before though. I honestly never had a crush or anything on him for the first 4 years of our friendship. Maybe because he was always very honest about what a douchebag he was and I was just happy to be friends. But really that's what made it all the more romantic in my head. I thought that perhaps that was the way things are supposed to go (you know how they always say that you should marry your best friend and all that jazz).

Well, without going into all the sordid details, things got very complicated and fast. Or slow. I don't really know. It was a huge mess and there was a lot of back and forth and obviously nothing went the way of a fairytale! :)

It didn't help that he had been a bit of a sucky friend for a long time before this and it didn't help that some of my closest girl friends who knew him thought he sucked and didn't even know why I was friends with him. It also didn't help that he is a womanizer and has different moral values from me. You can see where I am going with this. The thing is, it could have been all very simple. Clean cut. But the whole situation kinda dragged on and the friendship also combusted. And I got mad and he got mad, and some really sweet things were said and voila here we are.

We are no longer friends at all. And I honestly don't ever anticipate us ever being friends again. And that makes me a little sad, but I don't know if the situation would have or could have played out any differently. The point of this post is that I don't know if it was because of my belief in the one-true love thing that caused this. Because honestly in my mind, I did kinda think, well maybe this is it? Yeah, I had pause for thought- you don't know someone as well as I knew him and not, haha. But I had several friends who told me they thought we should be together and ladidadida and don't you love him? And he has always loved you, I can tell. Those sorts of comments kind of ferment in your mind until you think well maybe.

Well maybe was a NO. And now I just have no clue. Sometimes I think I should just forget the idealism and just go out with whoever, regardless of the fact if I feel that special something and think we click and have a connection. Because the way things are going these days, I may be waiting until the aliens come down and land!

Criminal minds...argh, what not to do at the cinema!!

So I was super duper embarrassed on Tuesday. My heart was beating so fast because I thought that I was going to die of shame. Oops, I spoilt the ending of the story because now you know I didn't die. Or I wouldn't be able to type this.

It all started when my roommates and I decided to go and see 'Something Borrowed'. We decided that we would go to an early morning show because it is $6 as opposed to $13. So we all got up early, 9am, and made the trek to the cinema. We were a bit late and so we ran up the escalators and into the movie theater and handed over our tickets. There was probably one other person in the cinema at this time, asides from the people who worked there.

We rushed into the room and sat down and watched the movie. And it was cute. I'm a sucka for chick flicks but I didn't really like the message of the movie, which was basically saying that cheating is okay if the 2 people cheating are really in love. NO IT ISN'T. So, while I was rooting for the male lead and Rachel (the best friend of his fiance) to get together, I felt at odds with my feelings morally. While, it was clear that Dex, (the male lead) and Rachel had been in love for a long time and had crossed signals and all that crap, he was still engaged to her best friend. So while ultimately, the story worked out that the engagement was called off (at the last moment) and they were together and happy, I was still a bit weirded out. I mean really? That's not any sort of love story that I would be hoping for myself.

Anyways, after we all saw the movie, we went to the bathroom and had basically decided to see another movie 'Water For Elephants'. Only the plan was to sneak in without getting another ticket. I have never done this before in my life and when I first heard the plan earlier in the day, I was a bit hesitant. However, I guess I succumbed to the feeling that it was okay and lots of people do it.

Several mistakes were made:
1. When we initially arrived at the cinema we were running and drew a lot of attention to ourselves.
2. We went to see the first movie at 10.50am. Not many people go to see films that early.
3. We walked out of the first movie and then stood in line for 15 mins to buy snacks.
4. We hung out in the lobby before we walked into the next film.

5 seconds after we sat down to watch the next movie, a man comes in and sits behind us and says "My manager sent me in here to ask to see your ticket stubs."

OH SHIT! Excuse my language. But that was all that was running through my mind. OMG, what am I going to do? I want to die. Why did I sneak into this movie? Am I going to be escorted out? Sent to jail? (I told you, I am nothing if not overly dramatic at times).

Well, my two roommates and I all pretended to look for our ticket stubs. And the man then says to us "Tell the truth ladies, just tell the truth." And I can't even open my mouth because what am I going to say "Yes, I snuck into the movie without paying?" How do you say that? One of my roommates kept insisting that we had bought tickets and he kept insisting that we tell the truth. It was one of those moments in life that seems like it is in slow motion. The exchange most probably only lasted about 2 minutes but it felt like 2 hours.

Eventually, the guy told us that he was going to let us stay because we had bought food and he said some other words but I was still too freaked out to really listen. The whole movie I was on the edge of my seat just waiting for someone to come and escort me out. It was absolutely awful. Not the movie (that was cute, but again the cheating/adultery theme was prevalent ARGH).

So my advice for the day is: Never attempt to sneak into a movie after paying for one. The shame of getting caught is just not worth it!! :)

Annoyed

I feel like I get annoyed so easily these days. An off remark or comment can have me seething inside and I have less patience for people who are petty, rude and ignorant. And then I start to feel mean and get annoyed at myself for getting annoyed in the first place. Argh. It's an awful circular cycle to carry through life.

A new beginning...kinda

Hiya Katy!!! :) (It's good to be back and to think I'll be reading about Saskatoon, Saskatchewan again soon. I'll feel like I've gone back to the past).

I just looked back at some of the posts on my blog and I realized that while many things change in life, my idealist vision of love is still as sappy and sad as ever. I can't quite believe that I still believe in fairy tales and true love; especially considering the many awful guys I have met that would make any woman a non-believer.

I'm also sad that I deleted all my posts from 2006 that talked about hot prof and all my dreams. I suppose that at the time, there was nothing to do but delete but it would have been nice to look back at the posts and laugh. Yes, I am at the laughing stage now. I guess the one thing you can count on in life is getting over the feelings of embarrassment and pain.

And now I'm older and wiser (okay, perhaps not wiser), I think it's funny and helpful to look back at old experiences. Okay, I think I lied. I am older but I don't know if I am any wiser. I'm still a daydream believer. I bet The Monkees were writing about me in their song:

"Oh, I could hide beneath the wings, of the bluebird as she sings, the six o'clock alarm will never ring..."

The lyrics may be wrong. I still suck at lyrics (some things will never change) but I can't be bothered to look them up right now, laazzzzy I know.

There is really so much to talk about that I haven't really talked about in a long time. And it feels weird writing it all on my blog again. It's been so long since I've used it as a way to express my thoughts. But I feel the need to share again. Oh and several of my old blogger friends have asked me to start writing again, so that gave me some motivation.

I have a major crush. We shall call him Mr. X. And OMG- Mr. X is gorgeous. Really gorgeous. Sigh. And really nice. There is also a Mr. Y. He is also cute, but not nice. More like an asshole. And I don't really like him anymore (Thank God).  Then there was Mr. Z. And he broke my heart! :(

Cue the violins. (Please pause while I bow my head and sniffle).

Joke. I'm totally okay. If not a little sad. But not about the broken heart. Because it wasn't even really a broken heart because I loved him (I did love him but as a brother, not a boyfriend). And no, don't worry, I didn't sleep with any of these guys, or even kiss them. Lame, I know. And maybe that is part of the problem- I'm not a getting busy kind of girl and it seems to turn some guys off (especially when you start lecturing about why casual sex is not a good thing). Yeah, haha. Not a winning strategy for a love connection!

So anyways, Mr. Z broke my heart. Because he was my good friend and he totally trashed our friendship for nothing. It's a pretty long and complicated story and I will likely write about it in more detail but right now I can't be bothered. I feel like I talked the crap out of the situation n the last 4 months. Like, I don't know if I could have talked/thought about it any more than I actually did. Okay, tell a lie. I totally could have talked more about it! :)

But actually now. I'm in a really good place. I had a little relapse of sadness about a week ago. I was dumb and looked at a bunch of old photos and it made me feel a little sad because we had been through so much together as friends. Traveled to so many places and it has hard to fathom and accept that we aren't even friends any more. But some of the things he said to me, well, I don't know if a friend would ever say such a thing. Or do some of the things he did to me. It almost seems unconscionable. I'm being melodramatic now. But it's true.

I'll write more tomorrow.  I still have a paper to write for a class, and have only barely started it! Oops. I'm glad you are glad to hear I'm still a diligent student!

Thus in Chaucer's Parliament of Foules we read:
"For this was sent on Seynt Valentyne's day
Whan every foul cometh ther to choose his mate. "

Freelance Writing Jobs- Post 1

Here is a list of legitimate online work from home freelance writing jobs. Some of the websites are considered pay per blog and the others pay you per article but all are pretty cool.

I have started writing for one of them and have been paid. I am going to start a new blog discussing my online writing endeavors and more about these websites.

1. www.demandstudios.com

Freelance writing of articles. They have thousands of topics to choose from and you get paid $15 for most articles 400-500 words and $7.50 for fact sheet articles, 150-200 words. You can also suggest article topics and get $5 each for them.

You write the article, it goes to a copy editor, who either approves it or sends it back to be rewritten. Then you can either rewrite or just abandon it. You get to write 10 articles at a time. All of the articles need a reference and you may need to research some titles a little longer. I have found google books to be a great way to research and have a credible citation.

You alsoget paid twice a week, which is awesome. They pay via paypal, which you can then transfer to your bank account.

2. www.ninerniner.com

A site composed of about 32 different blogs. You sign up and can write posts for any blogs. The only requirement is 200 words and the pay is pretty low, $0.50 a post but can add up if you write a lot of posts. You can pretty much write whatever you want. You get paid through paypal once a month if your account balance reached $25 the previous month.

3. www.brighthub.com

They pay you $10 to write articles in categories that you choose. However, it can be hard to get into more mainstream categories.

4. www.reviewstream.com

They pay $2 for everything you review and you can review absolutely anything.

Calling for the resignation of Officer Justin Barrett

So another Boston Police Officer decided to comment on the controversy regarding Professor Gates. In an Email that he sent he called Gates a "banana-eating jungle monkey" and said "He has indeed transcended back to a bumbling jungle monkey." from http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090730/ts_alt_afp/usracismarrestuniversitypolice.

This is not acceptable!! I think that the officer that said these things, Officer Justin Barrett, needs to be fired immediately. He was suspended pending a hearing but he better be terminated. His views are not acceptable, especially as a police officer. What sort of justice can this racist be giving to African-Americans he comes into contact with. He is a bigot, ignorant and obviously not capable of being a fair and impartial officer.

FIRE HIM NOW Boston! And SHAME on YOU Officer Justin Barrett!

Is a longer and healthier old age leading to unemployment?

So I was reading this article on msnbc http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32089674/ns/business-personal_finance and I got to thinking, should people who don't have a very rare and particularized skill and have enough money to retire be made to retire?

The article states that many people choose to continue working for several reasons after they retire and obviously if they need the money they should be allowed to but what about those who can? Are they not helping to keep someone else unemployed?

Here is my rationale. Person of retirement age X is most probably not in an entry-level position and so maybe a new person won't start off at their level but if someone in the company, say Q who is at entry-level is promoted then unemployed person Y could apply for and possible get Q's job. Thus, creating one less unemployed person.

If a mass number of X's decided to just volunteer their time to non-profit organizations and left their paying jobs, then Q's could move up the ladder in their jobs, make more money which would put more money back into the economy. More than likey X's aren't spending that much money on consumer products and stuff for kids because they don't need them and don't have young kids anymore. So Q is putting more money back into the economy.

Then we have Y, who didn't have a job and was maybe living off the state. They then have a job and so aren't taking money from the state and they are putting back into the economy with their new job.

This cycle has the potential to be really really effective. I am starting to think that maybe retired people who are just working because they have nothing better to do should think about how their actions may be affecting others who are coming up and want to work.

Suspicious Police Report: Gates Racial Controversy

This is getting interestinger and interesteringer...as Alice in Wonderland would say.

The racist (I don't care if he taught classes on racial profiling) police officer that arrested Professor Gates wrote in his police report that Ms. Whalen, the lady who called the police regarding the possible break-in, stated that she saw 2 black men with backpacks breaking in to the house BUT Ms. Whalen through her attorney states that "she never said anything at all about race."

OMG, how crazy is that if the Police Officer is caught lying. He is definetly a racist and should get fired, especially if he is lying about what he report in the report as well, how could anyone trust him again??

My information came from this news article: http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/07/27/gates.arrest/index.html

Another day, another night but always you!

So I was thinking of this song tonight and singing it, most probably I've got the words wrong as I inevitably do when I sing songs.

Sad news, someone died today whilst body surfing at the beach. the waves are getting as high as 20 ft and they crashed his body into rocks. I'm not going to tell my mum that story. Not that I swim near rocks but its kinda sketch in the ocean these days. Last week I had a bit of a scare, well kinda but not really. I was body surfing as per usual and was really skimming and coming in fast and far when I realized that the waves and the board which acted like a buoy had taken me really far out into the ocean. Now I wsan't scared cos I wasn't too far past some other people, and I can swim really well. But I couldn't touch the ocean floor and as I was trying to swim back to shore all that was happening wsa that I was going further out to sea.

So of course, there was a little pause in my heart at this point. The undercurrent of the ocean kept keeping me far back. So I decided to get aggressive and let go of the board and really swim hard. Still nada, then the next thing I know I see a lifeguard blowing a whistle and running into the ocean. I'm looking around as I am treading water and can't see anyone panicking or drowning. It was at this point that I ride another wave into shore and I am able to swim in more.

Next thing I know the lifeguard is coming over to me and she was like, "Didn't you hear my whistle? You were too far out and in a riptide".

I was like oh no sorry. Inside I was like, eek, that was why I couldn't swim back. I gotta admit I was feeling a lil faint after that experience. Then when another wave took my unawares and crashed me so hard into the water I couldn't breath or get up out of the water I was a little bit more panicky. But then I was fine, the boogie boarding experience is exhilarating. It's electrifyingly exciting and it makes me happy. Not happy enough to drown in the ocean though, so I'm thinking i'm not going to go out so far right now, not when the waves are so high and the current so strong.

Alot of my good friends are taking the bar next week. I want to wish them all Good Luck and my prayers are ging up for them all to do really well.

So I went to Pinks yesterday with my new friend and coworker. We waited inline for 2 hours, we had gone after one of our school visits (making sure that the school coordinator and the students and volunteers were all doing their things!) I have to be honest the 2 hour wait and $50 parking ticket I got was not worth it. I got a Chilli Cheese Dog, wasn't even the best dog I've had. So I am glad I went and had the experience but don't think I will be going again unless a visiting friend really wants to go.

I love this video, it made me laugh and cry! I'm kinda embarrassed to admit that but how perfect is this wedding entrance? How comfortable and at ease do yuo have to be to do this? It's totally cute and awesome! What a great couple!

Racism

So I just read this article on cnn, http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/07/21/massachusetts.harvard.professor.arrested/index.html, and it does seem kinda suspicious to me that someone would get arrested for disorderly conduct in a public space when you are actually in your own home.

Pretty much what happened was that Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr, of Harvard returned home from a trip to China to see his front door damaged. He along with his driver banged the door open, a lady passing by called the police (would she have called the police if it were a white man she had seen?)The police came, Gates wasn't happy and being questioned, accused the officer of being a racist and was then arrested!

I can imagine that the (I assume) White officer did was approach Gates accusingly and rudely, and that ia all you need to get anyone's back up. Was the officer racist I don't know. There is an inherent racism in everyone, that is just how society has programmed people, to be suspicious of, look down on and belittle the Black man. Even a person who mentally and psychologically knows that such biases are not right, you can't always erase it from your mind. I guess it just goes to show that no matter how far up the tree you climb, and Iwould say distinguished professor at Harvard is pretty high, you will always encounter these situations.

Boogie boarding is awesome!

So it reached about 102 degrees here in LA. And I have no AC in my apt and my fan seems to be only blowing hot air. I've bought 3 more "High Velocity" fans that sucked ass and all got returned. But I did buy a Holmes twin window fan at Target today for $26.99 and it seems to be working well. I can't get a window ac because my landlords don't let me and a portable AC is like $500, EEEK!

So I got a boogie board, also known as a body board and went boogie boarding/kinda surfing at Santa Monica beach last weekend. Can you say AWESOME three times fast?? Cos that is what I am and that is what boogie boarding was...pretty frigging awesome!!

At one point, I was on top of this huge ass wave and another one came right after it and so I kept skimming closer and closer to the the shoreline. It was frigging cool and amazing. I've decided to go to the beach everyday after work now because I felt so alive and one with the ocean.

It was kinda scary at one point though, this one wave carried me up high and then crashed me down hard into the ocean and the boogie board went flying, but I did have it attahced to my wrist through the strap but it was a little crazy as you aren't sure which way is up for a minute and there was a wicked undercurrent pulling you out into the ocean.

************
Ok. So I'm watching a tv show right now called, "Dating in the Dark:- A new show on ABC. Is Love Blind is the premise of the show. Hmm, this should be interesting. I'm typing this as I watch it.

The Guys
Stephen- says he is a genius, I would say he is cute. Looks 8/10

Seth- says he likes hot girls. Annoying to me. Looks 7/10

Allistair- From England. Nice face, ugly v-neck shirt 8/10 (would be 9 but for clothes)

The Girls
Christina- Annoying. Cue though 8/10

Melanie- Wild hair, fugly glasses that look like mine...eek could be me 6/10

Leni- is a nanny, looks like a nanny and seems nice. 7.5/10

So the men and women meet in a dark room where they can see nothing. Allistair is looking like a pompous ass with his head on the table.

Leni has a good personality and is funny. Stephen seems a smart show-off. Of the three, I'm into none, in the light or the dark so far.

Melanie looks older than 31, I feel whoever she ends up with is going to be a lil disapointed. I'm saying this truly based on what the show is looking for. Do looks really matter? All I have to say is, who is going on these shows?

Stephen is looking like a douche as the show goes on and noone has wanted to spend anytime with Alistair as yet...oops.

SO OMG! Just what I thought would happen, they all made a match with one person and loved the personality of that person and then they saw each other and inevitably the hot person was not interested in the other person.

Matches in the dark were:

Allistair and Melanie: He opened up his heart to her in the dark and she thought he was really hot when she saw him. He said that "she gets him." And he came out and met her. He was worried about the physical but I think he wanted a friend!

Stephen and Leni: ok so they both decided to date in the light! And they kiss!

Seth and Christina: They kissed in the dark! And after she saw him she decided she didn't want a second date! omg, and he wiped tears away as he saw her walk away! Kinda made me feel sad for him!
